As Muni winds its way through the city, it carries the collective experience of everyone on board with it, and weaves threads of life into the fabric of the streets.

Rainy nights, when a building’s lights can illuminate broad strokes of color across the pavement. People walk a little faster than usual to get out of the rain.  Umbrellas pop open everywhere and catch the light.

Rambo... GURL!

Advertising… everywhere you look. Subway stations, telephone poles, stickers, and newspapers.

“Advertising may be described as the science of arresting human intelligence long enough to get money from it. ” – Stephen Leacock (1869-1944)

One wonderful thing that I’ve noticed about this city, is that NO advertising is sacrosanct. The locals always seem to have the last word on bullshit that the advertising industry puts out. The tiniest little edit has the potential to change the entire thing.
